Connect Groups
Authentic connection is not automatic. It takes a deliberate effort. The scriptures invite us to consider how to best do just that. Sunday provides vital time together, but we need other interaction points if we are to deepen our experience of Christian community.
Connect groups are a way for smaller numbers to meet together during the week to interact around the Bible and prayer. These smaller groups enable us to care well for one another. We have connect groups in the city centre in Immanuel, North side and South side in homes and online.

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Hebrew 10:24-25

iKids
Immanuel Kids (iKids) is our Bible teaching programme tailored to primary school-aged children.
We have ‘Big Kids’ on occasion, also where leaders go into more depth with older children. All our leaders are Garda Vetted and Safeguarding trained and we follow the Irish Church Missions Child Safeguarding Policy.
iKids begins about mid-way through the morning gathering. Occasionally, we have an All Age Gathering and everyone stays in the one room. iKids is there as an optional resource; some parents utilise the programme and some don’t. There is no compulsion either way!
At the moment, we can’t provide a creche but there is a seated area adjacent to the main room which can be used at any time. We always have someone by the door for your security.
“Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another”
Romans 12:15-16
Care at Immanuel Church Dublin
We endeavour to become more like Christ in our everyday and also in our more complex struggles. How do we become less angry? How do we fight temptation? How do we forgive and move on from hurt and betrayal? Scripture gives us the words to express our struggles. Caring for one another is a means to know God and know ourselves better. Care is about connecting the riches of Scripture to the realities of everyday life, together.
We trust that God is at work in every believer, and as we learn to turn to him more through our difficulties, we see real change in how we relate to him, to others and to our circumstances. Esther Lynch, provides one-to-one pastoral care and seeks to resource and train others to care well. Whatever you carry in your heart, Immanuel welcomes you.
